no p's allowed.

eliza has always been so observant. it is especially noticeable as we drive around. she doesn't miss a thing. i feel like she will be so prepared for driver's ed...in 12 years. she asks so many questions about signs, lights, why i did what i did, why i didn't do what she thinks i should.

apparently the "no _____ allowed" signs are something that just caught her eye.

as we walked out of the library today she saw a sign on the door and asked "what is not allowed?"

"no food or drinks"

at target she pointed to the signs on the strap around hattie and asked about each warning.

my favorite though?
"that sign just said no p's allowed! why aren't p's allowed?"

trying to figure out what she is talking about, look around, then it hit me "that means no parking!"

"no it just said no p's!"

and to top it off she asked me to randomly pray. when i was finished she said "my turn. God, i love this day, but i don't love the signs that say stuff is not allowed. i love you. amen."

oh child. your 4th year has been all about testing your limits. fitting that you should take note of all these signs telling you what not to do!
